It's been too long since my last post! I've finally had some time to upload pictures of crafts that I've been working on for the wedding and for my Etsy shoppe, therusticprimcottage!
Speaking of Etsy, I also took photographs of some lovely new items I've acquired from my fellow Etsians specifically FOR the big day! I'm excited to share with you all :)
This beautiful sign was a purchase from Etsy seller familyattic. I plan to have a small table with pictures of our loved ones who are no longer with us, including both of my grandmothers, Jay's grandparents on his father side, and my dad's sister who recently passed :( I can think of no better testament to honor their presence in our lives even though their physical bodies are no longer here -- they will ALWAYS be with us in spirit! <3
Speaking of love... I've been working on some cork creations lately! Above is my first attempt at cork letterwork. I painted paper-mache letters purchased from Amazon.com in various shades of pink and coral before adding the corks (purchased from Ebay -- wine's great and all, but there's no way I could have created this post having consumed the number of corks necessary to create the pieces above!!! :0
Currently offering these (individually or as a set) in my Etsy shoppe!
The second I saw this sign I knew I had to have it! Jay and I are always telling each other how "We Fit" and how we're "Meant to be" (I'm sure all couples say the latter but we honestly do say this to each other, a lot). I happily added this lovely two-piece sign from Etsy seller LisaCurryDesigns to my shopping cart in anticipation of some wonderful wedding pics! :)
The photos above are just some images of my most recent handicrafts for the wedding/Etsy. The last project is one of my newest interests -- altered art. I've always LOVED altered art but I've never played around with it much myself. This design inspired me to create an entire board of project possibilities on Pinterest. I'm working on a few different altered art pieces now that I look forward to sharing with you all in future posts!
***Isn't it interesting how different the images come out with and without the flash on my camera? I'm by no means a pro photographer, and I'm still tinkering with all its functionality, but the images always come out so much more crisp and clear with the flash...just an aha! moment from a photo-noob ;P
"Spring break" is this week, so anticipate another post or two coming sooner rather than later! ;)
