Hello again, friends! I finally had some more time to take some photos of my newest acquisitions for the vintage wedding decor collection I've been builiding for my June 28th nuptials :)
Once again, I've given credit to all appropriate parties -- those Etsians and antiques dealers I've purchased from. I highly recommend that you check out all of these sellers -- they are amazing people with wonderful talents!
These cards hanging from the French 5-tiered hanger were purchased at Somerville Antiques in Somerville, NJ (see previous posts for additional items I've purchased from this seller). I purchased the hanger from Amazon.com. While I knew I liked both the cards and the hanger, I didn't have either of them in mind when purchasing them. As I went through my collection, they just seemed to be the perfect fit for one another. I titled the first image "Wedded Bliss?" because if you'll notice, the cards seem to illustrate the stages of marriage in a sense... An image of a couple getting married... a silly image of a couple getting into bed... a vase of flowers (take that analogy as you will -- I have multiple interpretations in mind)... the barn image is the equivalent to home life, settling in, work, children, etc. The final image is my favorite -- an elderly couple side by side in stockades... isn't that what marriage is all about? ;) Below are the images up close (sans the barn card)!
The L below stands for Lucci, my future last name. Since I am in academia, and publishing may be a large part of my future, I intend to make my maiden name my legal second middle name with Lucci becoming my official last name. This way, when I publish, it will most likely be under the name Erica M. Holan Lucci. This 2' L was purchased from Etsy seller thebackporchshoppe. Simply gorgeous!
The small book pictured below was customized for us by Etsy seller ThePaperWalrus. The little bow tied with twine inside of the heart in the image on the right is for us to hang our rings on (great shot for the wedding, don't-ya-think? :)
The images below are of items purchased from Etsy seller SweetMagnoliasFarm. I LOVE EVERYTHING in this shoppe! I can't get enough of its charming shabby chic antique goodies! I cannot wait to set ALL of these wonderful pieces up at my wedding!
Speaking of... the ceremony is just 121 days away! (but who's counting ;)
